689 Cellars is a Wine producer and distributor based in Napa Valley, CA.

We have built significant brand equity over the years, producing promotional content, creating websites for each collection, and collaborating on label designs for new releases.

689 has a strong sense of their brand identity; RoVan Media listened, analyzed, and capitalized on that identity throughout our projects.

client direction:

All the client provided was a name, "THE HYPE", the Hand image, and "make it edgy". That's all we needed...

the process:

We gravitative towards the idea that "THE HYPE" was lifted on a pedestal by a the bronze hand like a divine offering. We knew we wanted to make a rough look, something that was torn out of wall. And behind the wall - endless "HYPE".

client direction:

The Client wanted to embody the classic American Diner feel to their new wine release for the European market.

the process:

Using a photo of the Wigwam motel (Photo by Gary Warnimont), we were able to seemlessly repurpose the neon sign with the "Lucky Draw" name, making it look like the original image. From there, we added a polaroid picture frame to provide another dimension of authenticity to the photo.

client direction:

689 Cellars was looking for something that speaks volume to name "Devil's Candy".

the process:

The idea that the seduction of a women and the influence of the grape, have similar persuasiveness properties that Lucifer used to convince Eve to take a bite of the forbidden fruit.

We knew we wanted to incorporate UV and emboss elements to give the label another dimension and make the grapes stand out on the shelf!
